Stop predatory banking practices
Raise revenue from the 1% to fund the common good for the 99%
Pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform
Win living wage jobs for all
In addition, local affiliates of NPAC work on other critical issues, such as stopping corporate farming, stopping "stop and frisk" policing practices, and passing single payer health care.
About the Chicago Campaign Canvasser Job
National Peoples Action Campaign is seeking applicants for one of the best canvassing positions in the country.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with NPAC̢۪s membership team and will receive training from one of the highest averaging canvassers in the country. Under the direction of the Canvass Director, the canvass staff works with NPAC staff, NPAC affiliates, and organizational partners.
Ideal candidates fit the following criteria:
Highly motivated, goal oriented individuals;
Have prior canvass experience;
Able to communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences;
Have knowledge of and experience with NPAC̢۪s primary issues;
Are able to work both independently and in close collaboration with other staff and local leaders;
Have knowledge of and/or experience with community or labor organizing;
Are comfortable multitasking and working in a fast paced and diverse environment; and
Demonstrate a deep commitment to racial and economic justice.
Responsibilities of the Chicago Campaign Canvasser Job
Recruiting new members to the organization
Raising money on a daily basis
Administrative reporting
Participation in national meetings
Qualifications for the Chicago Campaign Canvasser Job
Canvass experience
Ability to work well with a team
Demonstrated commitment to racial and economic justice
Ability to speak Spanish highly desired.
Salary and Benefits of the Chicago Campaign Canvasser Job
This is a full-time position based on a 40hr week. Canvass staff earn up to $15 per hour. NPAC̢۪s competitive benefits package includes medical and dental insurance, employer contribution to retirement plan and paid vacation.
